On 5th and 6th of August 2020, People for Peat (PFP) hosted a Conference of Parties (COP) of the Philippines on ’Sustainable Use of Peatland and Haze Mitigation in ASEAN’ virtually via the Zoom platform. The COP was attended by 34 participants from the Philippines stakeholders. The agenda of the COP was discussed on 5 (five) main topics: (1) Policy and Regulation on Peatlands in the Philippines; (2) Peatland Management in the Philippines; (3) Research on Peatlands; (4) Peatland Outlook; and (5) Role of Non-state Actors (NSAs) towards sustainable peatland management.
